The first step of the swap is cutting out the old hedge (typically thuja) and lifting the roots. Then comes the key step so many people skip: replacing or improving the exhausted, root-filled soil with a nutrient-rich planting medium – without it, the new plants struggle to establish. Finally we plant the new hedge along a line (cherry laurel, Leyland cypress, Photinia or columnar yew), water it in, mulch it, and lay drip irrigation on request. A typical family-garden hedge replacement is completed in 1–2 days. The plants we install are covered by our guarantee, and the quote covers the entire process – there are no extras afterwards.
